Yes. Additional drivers can be added for roughly AED 20–50 per day (often free on monthly contracts). Each driver must present a valid licence and be listed on the contract.

Yes. Expect 200–250 km per day, around 1,500 km per week and 3,000–5,000 km per month depending on the category. Extra kilometres are charged at about AED 0.50–2 per km.

No. Salik crossings (AED 6.30 at peak, AED 4.20 off-peak, free 1–6am) are the driver's responsibility. Every rental car carries a Salik tag, and crossings are billed to you or deducted from the deposit.

Yes. Standard UAE rental insurance covers all seven emirates, so trips to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Fujairah and beyond are fine — you only pay the tolls along the way.

Only with the company's written approval. Oman is the common exception and requires extra cross-border insurance plus a permit; Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries are rarely permitted.

Some companies offer no-deposit rentals that accept a debit card or cash, usually at a higher daily rate, with a higher insurance excess or a narrower choice of cars.

Nearly all Dubai companies use same-to-same (full-to-full): you return the car with the fuel level you received. Refuelling by the company is charged at a premium plus a service fee.

Call or message the company before the contract expires. Extensions are granted subject to availability, and moving from daily to weekly or monthly usually lowers your effective daily rate.

A short grace period of 1–2 hours is common; beyond that an extra day is charged. Tell the company in advance if you will be late — most will simply extend the contract instead.
