1How much does sports car rental cost in Dubai?

2How is a sports car different?

• Age requirements split by tier. Mass-market sports cars (Mustang, Camaro, Corvette) are often rentable from 21–23 depending on the company. Genuine exotics (Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren) commonly require drivers to be 25 or older — confirm the specific company's policy for the exact model, since it isn't uniform across the category.
• Mileage caps get tighter as the price climbs. A Mustang or Camaro often comes with a generous daily allowance (200km/day or more); a Ferrari or McLaren is more commonly capped at 150–250km/day with a real per-kilometre charge once you're over. If you're planning to actually drive the car rather than photograph it outside the Burj Khalifa, ask about the cap before you book.
• Insurance often excludes track use and off-road driving entirely. Standard rental insurance on a performance car almost never covers a track day, drift event, or off-road driving — and using the car outside its licensed road use can void your cover completely, leaving you liable for the full damage cost. If a track session is part of the plan, ask explicitly whether it's covered or whether you need separate track-day insurance.
• Speed enforcement is aggressive and automatic. Dubai's radar network is dense, and a car built to comfortably do 200+ km/h in a 100 km/h zone doesn't make the fine smaller — speeding tickets are issued and billed the same way regardless of how the car got there, and repeated violations on a rental agreement can affect your ability to rent again from the same company.
• The security deposit scales with the car's replacement value. A Mustang's deposit looks like a standard luxury car's, a Ferrari or Lamborghini's deposit reflects a car that can cost several hundred thousand dirhams to repair after even moderate damage — expect AED 5,000–15,000+ held on genuine exotics, refunded after a clean, undamaged return.

• Ask for the exact total daily price including VAT, Salik estimate, and mandatory fees
• Confirm deposit amount, insurance excess, and mileage allowance in writing
• Do a full walk-around and document existing damage before you drive
• Ask about delivery/pick-up charges, late return fees, and cross-emirate use
