2Why is the advertised price lower than what you pay?
Headline rates are often the lowest a company offers: the oldest cars, a monthly plan divided by 30, or a rate that excludes VAT and insurance. Others advertise a no-deposit car at a price that only applies with a deposit.
None of that is necessarily dishonest, but it makes headline rates impossible to compare. The all-in price for the same car, dates and cover is the only comparison that holds.
3What should you ask before you book?

6Red flags in a rental quote
- A price with no model or year — only a category.
- No written deposit amount, or 'we will tell you at delivery'.
- Payment to a personal account instead of the company.
- A no-deposit offer that asks for a large cash 'guarantee'.
