4What costs come on top of the rental?
Fuel is set monthly by the UAE and is sold with attendant service at most stations; most rentals are full-to-full. Salik tolls cost AED 4–6 a crossing and are billed afterwards with VAT. Public parking is paid Monday to Saturday, 8am–10pm.
Fines — speeding, parking, phone use — go to the rental company and come off your deposit, often with an admin fee.
5How do you return the car without surprises?

6Fuel stations and fuel prices
Fuel prices in the UAE are set each month by a national committee and are the same at every station in the country. Most stations are attendant-served: stay in the car, tell the attendant the fuel grade and amount, and pay by card or cash.
Most rental cars run on Special 95. Check the fuel cap or ask at pick-up, and keep the receipt from your last fill before returning the car.
